It can be used on the face, chest and back, making it particularly useful for persistent facial or body acne. PanOxyl Acne Foaming Wash formula kills over 99% of acne-causing bacteria within 15 seconds, based on an independent laboratory study. 

Because 10% benzoyl peroxide can cause dryness, peeling or irritation, it is better suited to oily, combination and more persistent acne-prone skin than very dry or highly sensitive skin.
